Rebecca Payton B.App.Sci (Physio)

Bec has 17 years clinical experience as a Physiotherapist both in Australia and overseas. She has added to her Clinical Pilates experience by being part of the DMA team for two years, both in the Clinic and Assisting on Courses.

“Clinical Pilates has completely transformed the way I practice Physiotherapy. I love it! It is the most effective tool I have ever had available to me as a clinician and I would recommend that no Physiotherapist be without it. The results are amazing and evidence based, and it’s also much more energy efficient for the clinician’s body impacting their longevity as a Physiotherapist.”

Bec is passionate about Clinical Pilates and combines that with her enthusiasm for Adult Education, which she has been active in for the past several years, lecturing, compiling courses and co-ordinating a training college.

David-Peirce

David Peirce B.Phty

Company Director of Pondera Physio & Pilates in West End Brisbane Qld.

From graduation in 1991 from Queensland University, David’s diverse career has taken him around the world and landed him back in Brisbane. After a country service career start in Mt Isa and Townsville, he spent 5 years in London as the Senior Physiotherapist at London Wasps Rugby Club working with players at the highest levels of representative sport. Back in Australia in 2000 and returning to private practice, he felt a gap in service provision and clinical completeness without the benefit of a medical team environment. This led to his entry to Clinical Pilates training and his current position working with Physios, Exercise Physiologists, Massage Therapists and Pilates studio instructors.

David completed Level 4 of DMA training in 2007 and has since focused his clinical service on the management and rehabilitation of more chronic conditions like back & neck pain, osteoporosis, trying to delay or prevent orthopaedic surgery and performance medicine fields particularly dance and music.

David has consulted to the Queensland Ballet for the past 5 years and in 2010 and 2011 he consulted to the Qld Reds Super 15 squad involved with pre season stability and conditioning using a Clinical Pilates approach.

He is a co-presenter of courses with the DMA Clincial Pilates training program and is involved with the continuing research and implementation of this method of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation used by Physiotherapists and others around the world.
