Telemedicine for regional, interstate and overseas clients
Telemedicine is the use of telecommunication and information technology to provide clinical health care from a distance. Telemedicine can be used to overcome distance barriers and to improve access to medical services that would often not be consistently available in distant rural communities.
Using technology like Skype, Facetime and video calls, at DMA we are able to continue to offer you the best of care and advice, even when you are unable to come visit us in the clinic. Much of our assessment and treatment involves listening to your history, observing the way you move and guiding you to perform different exercises and movements, all of which are very readily done through video calls and electronic means.
When face-to-face visits or hands-on treatment is required, but you are too far away to come to us, we are happy to communicate with your local Physiotherapist in conjunction with remote consultations via telemedicine, to ensure a collaborated approach to your health care.
